Come out to Tennessee’s Green Business Summit & Expo April 3-5a t Lipscomb University and Advent: a two-day, comprehensive opportunity for businesspeople to learn the ins and outs of “going green.”
Summit sessions held April 3, 9:30 a.m. to 8 p.m., on the Lipscomb campus will discuss the primary green business trends occurring within the state. National keynote speakers along with a broad slate of local green company owners and operators, will discuss everything from the hottest selling green products in Tennessee right now to the state government’s perspective on future green economic development.
Highly targeted small group workshops, held April 4, 8 a.m. to noon on campus, will address specific business functions, such as printing, food service, housekeeping, biofuels, green roofs, hybrid cars and construction.
Green Expo
The Green Expo will be Nashville’s first business-to-business trade show where every exhibitor on the floor will offer green products, services or information. Everything from hybrid cars to green marketing display materials will be on hand. The trade show, in Lipscomb’s Allen Arena, is coordinated by Advent, an experiential marketing firm in Nashville, and will be open April 3, 5-7 p.m. and 8-10 p.m.; April 4, noon to 6 p.m.; and April 5, 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m.
Keynote Speaker Paul Hawken
The keynote speech by Paul Hawken, co-founder of Smith & Hawken garden supply retailer, author and leading proponent of “green” corporations, will be will be free and open to the public at 7 p.m., April 3, in Allen Arena, but pre-registration is requested at http://sustainability.lipscomb.edu.
Cost to attend the entire Tennessee Green Business Summit & Expo is $185. College students may attend for an $85 fee. Cost for booth space in the accompanying Tennessee Green Business Expo ranges from $150 to $500. Cost to attend the trade show is FREE!
