RIDE:WELL BIKE TOUR

The Ride:Well Tour is a bicycling expedition from Los Angeles to Washington D.C. to raise funds and awareness for Blood:Water Mission and the 1000 Wells Project. The Nashville ride starts downtown at Rocketown on the corner of 6th Avenue South and Shirley Street. Pick up your registration packets at 8am.

The Ride: Well tour is organized by Venture Expeditions, a non-profit organization that utilizes adventure travel to raise funds and awareness for humanitarian projects around the world. The Ride:Well Bike Tour provides Blood:Water Mission advocates an epic opportunity to bicycle “the distance” to raise funds, support, and awareness for the 1000 Wells Project.

The Goals of the Ride

o Excite: create a rallying point for people with interest in B:WM and the humanitarian/social justice issues in Africa.
o Educate: teach people how they can use their passions, abilities and talents to help people in need.
o Encourage: inspire individuals and communities to take innovative and creative action to benefit Blood:Water Mission.
o Engage: enlist people in raising funds and awareness for the 1,000 Wells Project.

Long Route (25 Miles)

The Nashville City Ride starts downtown at Rocketown on the corner of 6th Avenue South and Shirley Street. As a cyclist, you will weave through the city to the Shelby Street Pedestrian Bridge where you will cross the Cumberland River and head east. At Shelby Park you will pick up the Nashville Green way and follow the trail to the Percy Priest Dam. Once you reach the dam, you will return to downtown Nashville with an epic ride to the heart of the city and end where you started, at Rocketown.

Short Route (12 Miles)

For people desiring a shorter ride, there will be a turn-around point at the second Cumberland River Crossing at the pedestrian bridge that crosses the connects the Stones River Green way and Two Rivers Park.

Thanks to Nashville Metro Parks for providing valuable green space for conservation, recreation, alternative transportation and an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for Blood:Water Mission.

Blood:Water Mission

Blood:Water Mission is a non-profit organization founded by the members of the multi-platinum, Grammy Award-winning band, Jars of Clay, to address the HIV/AIDS crisis in Africa.

BENEFIT CONCERT

Come out for a benefit concert for Blood:Water Mission at 3rd & Lindsley for Lightning 100’s Nashville Sunday Night on July 13 from 8-10pm featuring Mathew Perryman Jones and Sixpence None the Richer. Only $10 and all of it goes to benefit Blood: Water Mission.
