The Recycling Leaders Class is a hands on opportunity to learn the basics of recycling in Nashville. The two and a half hour class will cover the topics: what and how to recycle, where to recycle, what happens to the recycled materials, and the reasons recycling is important to Nashville. The class will conclude with a session on how to spread the word in the community about recycling. Participants will be asked to pledge to taking specific actions that they will outline for themselves during the class. Upon completion of the pledged activity, participants will receive flower seeds for the community group of their choice. The Recycling Leaders Class will take place in the Recycling Education Classroom located inside of the Materials Recovery Facility, where Nashville’s recyclables are sorted and shipped out.
