Cracking the Oyster
The Seminar
The Inaugural “Cracking the Oyster” seminar is scheduled for August 7th at a popular Nashville destination from 6:30pm – 7:30pm- Location Climb Nashville. At the seminar you will learn what the Oyster Racing Series is comprised of and great tips on how to efficiently and effectively compete in an urban adventure race. Items covered will include: training tips, navigation tips, nutrition, team strategy, risk v. reward and more. Plus, those in attendance will learn one or more helpful hints about the course that can make your racing experience a more enjoyable one.
Race Directors Jason Ornstein and Brian Hurst from the Merrell Oyster Racing Series in Denver will be leading the seminar and providing race and course instruction. Jason is the creator of the Oyster Racing Series and Brian is the course architect and both can provide great insights on not only how to finish, but how to be competitive and win the Oyster!
The seminars are free to all competitors and you need not register your team in advance to attend. Terrific giveaways will be awarded and we will review all divisions: The Corporate 6 Pack, Family Fun Division, Coed, Male and Female divisions. About the Oyster Adventure Race
The Oyster is the coolest race you will ever participate in. . . and it’s coming to Nashville on September 6th! Team Green, Lightning 100, and Merrell are supporters of this unique urban challenge.
The Oyster is billed as the Ultimate Urban Adventure Race for its uncanny ability to provide pure athleticism with thought-provoking strategy. The race obstacles are kept a secret until the start of the race. All you know is you and your 3 or 6-person team will run-bike-scoot/skate-trek-climb-paddle (and other crazy stuff) your way around Nashville doing amazing things and performing some creative stunts.
