About Tennessee Repertory Theatre
Our shows this season offer a combination of comedy and drama, classic and contemporary, reality and fantasy, horror and silliness, and there’s even a very new play and a revival of an old favorite. We’re very proud and pleased to be able to bring these plays to Nashville audiences, and if there’s a play on the list Nashvillians are not familiar with, we hope they are inspired to take a chance with us. Great acting, great sets, great costumes, great scripts, guaranteed.
About Moonlight & Magnolias
Set in 1939 Hollywood, Moonlight and Magnolias tells the story of what could have happened when legendary producer David O. Selznick shut down production of his new epic, Gone with the Wind. The screenplay, you see, just isn’t working. So what’s an all-powerful movie mogul to do? While fending off the film’s stars, gossip columnists and his own father-in-law, Selznick sends a car for famed screenwriter Ben Hecht and pulls formidable director Victor Fleming from the set of The Wizard of Oz. Summoning both to his office, he locks the doors, closes the shades, and on a diet of bananas and peanuts, the three men labor over five days to fashion a screenplay that will become the blueprint for one of the most successful films of all time.
Upcoming shows include:
Moonlight & Magnolias November 8-22
Santaland Diaries November 28-December 20
Glengarry Glen Ross February 7-21
Rabbit Hole March 21-April 4
Darwin in Malibu May 2-16
Registration
This event is free and open to the public. Simply show up with flashlights, water, snacks, families, and dogs on leashes.

Where do we meet at Shelby Bottoms?
Sounds so fun…But How long and strenuous is the hike?
The hike is easy and on paved greenway. We will walk from the Nature Center to the shelby bottoms bridge, across the bridge, then backtrack. I believe it is between 4 and 5 miles. If at any time you feel like making the hike shorter, you are welcome to turn around early. Be sure to bring a flashlight and water!
This is stupid..but I dont know how to get there? My friend Dixie and I will be coming from Charlotte…downtown…?? Can you direct me?
A
From Charlotte Ave (downtown) turn south onto 3rd Ave and turn left at Union. Go over the Union/Woodland street bridge. At 5th avenue (on the other side of the bridge) turn Right and take it all the way to Davidson St. Turn left at Davidson Street and take it all the way through the park. At the softball fields there is parking on both sides of the railroad track (look up!). You can also mapquest the directions from the address provided above.
