Learn all about sailing on Nashville’s Percy Priest Lake! Sailboats and instructors provided, plus lunch- and it’s FREE to Team Green Members, sponsored by DDS Sailmakers!
Logistics:
Arrive at Nashville Shores Marina Sunday, August 24th at 11:00a.m. Enjoy a private lunch of Baha style fish tacos, grilled chicken and more at the Pilot House overlooking Percy Priest Lake. Around 12:30p.m., gather in groups of 4-5 and board one of several cruising sailboats skippered by their owners. Weather and wind permitting, take a cruise through the beautiful waters and around the islands of Percy Priest Lake. Participate in several aspects of the operation of a sailboat and try your hand at the helm! This is an introduction to sailing where you will learn the basic terminology and functions of the rigging and just how a sailboat works. All skippers are experienced cruisers and can teach you as much as you want to know. Many boats have swim ladders if you wish to take a cool down swim. Vessels will return to Nashville Shores around 4:00p.m.

This free event and lunch is being sponsored by DDS Sailmakers as a part of the Sail Music City promotion. The Skippers are donating their time and the use of their vessels to share their love of this great sport with you.
