Cumberland Trail Conference Big Dig
When
Friday, June 6 to Sunday, June 8
Details
Volunteer at Tennessee’s new linear trail – the Cumberland Trail Conference for the weekend at the annual Big Dig. We will depart Friday night and drive to the Stony Fork Community Center near Caryville, TN. Wake the next morning and build trails throughout the day, then enjoy home cooked food in the evening and meet others from around the country who have come to lend a hand to the trial. Sunday we will build trails again the head back to Nashville in the late afternoon. Lodging and all meals provided. You will need to bring your own bedding (cots, air mattresses, sleeping bag, etc…) and toiletries. You may bring a tent if you wish to sleep outside, which many people do. We will be working on the Cumberland trail between Cove Lake and Frozen Head State Park.
This is a Free event and great experience for all hikers, backpackers, and nature lovers. To volunteer, email the volunteer coordinator Sheryl Stamer or for additional questions email Team Green
